Skating map Mälaren 1:50000

The skating map of Lake Mälaren is the most advanced map ever made, with the skater's needs at the center. Calazo's skating maps are developed in close collaboration with Mårten Ajne, one of Sweden's most experienced and knowledgeable skaters. Mårten has processed more than fifty years of ice and weather data and combined this with the accumulated experience of the skating clubs in the Mälar Valley. 

The result is presented here in the form of two maps at a scale of 1:50,000 covering the entire Mälaren. Over 200 ice-forming areas are shown with 11 different colored zones, depending on the stage at which they freeze. In addition, great care has been taken to identify the lake's currents and weak areas, known hazards, ship channels and outflows. The map also contains recommended starting points, parking lots and suitable land passages.

The map is made of a synthetic fiber that makes the map completely insensitive to water and very tear-resistant. A Tyvek map will not tear at the folds or lose its color when you use it.
