Collection: Ice Skates - BC Binding

Here you find our handmade Skyllermarks skates for BC-boots/bindings. The most common is the Rottefella Back-Country (BC) which we use and mount on our skates. Our unique blades with multi-zone curve and extreme sharpness make Skyllermarks Ice Skates easily maneuvered, enjoyable, stiff and durable.

The Rottefella Back Country bindings - "BC" have been used on skates for 25 years. Today, it is the by far most common binding system for nordic skating. Compared to skate bindings made to fit narrow cross country skis, the BC bindings are made to wihstand touring and are both wider and more robust.

Our unique blades with multi-zone curve and extreme sharpness make Skyllermarks Ice Skates easily maneuvered, enjoyable, stiff and durable.

Skyllermarks skates are made in Sweden with swedish steel and aluminium.

Our three BC models:

Skyllermarks BC Blue - Explore                                                                                                                       With a longer nose than Red and Orange, Blue offers great versitility and exceeds at taking on rougher ice and softer Spring time ice. The bindings are sideways adjustable and we recommend choosing longer rather than shorter sizes compared to our other models.

Skyllermarks BC Red - Adventure                                                                                                                       A true classic with a shorter nose than Blue. This means shorter and lighter skates for the same length of active blade. With bindings closer to the nose, Red offers mobility and reduces the risk of tangling the skates. This makes for a faster and more playful skate. As with Blue, Red offers sideways adjustment of bindings.

Skyllermarks BC Orange - Discover New this season!                                                                                         With the same base as our successful Prolink Orange skate, one of the lightest serial produced skates in the world, we are now mounting BC bindings to offer a lightweight option to BC skaters. Orange shares its blade with Red, which means a fast and playful skate that responds to turning without sacrificing directional stability.
